How to Improve Your Outputs by Improving Your Inputs

It’s raining here in Northern California for the first time in many, many months and we’re extremely grateful for that. Whenever we have a weather event in Northern California, I’m always reminded that there are some things over which I have no control.

Weather impacts every construction CEO simply because when it’s raining and you’re building outside it impacts your schedule and your ability to work. There are so many things out of your control, including external circumstances and other people, the way they perceive you to one degree or another, other people’s opinions.

What is in your control are your thoughts, your words, and your deeds.
What are you doing to cultivate good thoughts that lead to wise words and prudent actions? As a leader, you have to be in control of those things on a regular basis. So, one of the ways you can do that is by monitoring the input that you allow in your life. The things you read, the things you watch, the things you listen to affect the way you think and the way that you act.

If you want to improve your outputs, improve your inputs.
Control the inputs that are coming into your life and that will help you to control the outputs of thoughts, words, and deeds that come out of your life.
